That slogan Adiwiyata Cerme SMAN 1 Gresik

One of the programs associated with the school environment is a program implemented by the Ministry of State environment called Adiwiyata. In order to encourage the creation of knowledge and awareness of the school as well as environmental preservation. Every citizen of schools involved in the activities of a healthy environment and avoid the negative impact lingkugnan.

The word "Adiwiyata" comes from 2 words in the Sanskrit language "ADI" and "Wiyata" ADI has a great meaning, great, good, ideal or perfect. Wiyata mempnyai meaning a place where someone mendpatkan knowledge, norms and ethics in the life of understanding concluded sosial. If "Adiwiyata is a good place and an ideal which can be obtained all the science and the various norms and ethics that can be the basis for the creation of human life and welfare towards the ideals of sustainable development.

Adiwiyata program objective is to create good conditions the school to become a place of learning and community awareness of school, so that later on the school community can take part responsibility in efforts to preserve the environment and sustainable development.
Residents SMA Negeri1 Cerme in 2009/2010 school year plan also follow program Adiwiyata at the district level that will advance if Adiwiyata in nomination will continue on at the provincial level. SMA Negeri 1 Cerme motto is "Cerme Bersiap LINGDUP" (Carefully considering the ethics of clean, healthy, beautiful will concern the Environment), prepare to support the existence of 9 K (Security, Public Order, family, beauty, cleanliness, shade, Health, Openness, and Modeling) besides that it is reliable mascot Cerme Tree as a rare tree that needs keep on as a symbol of cohesiveness in terms of maintaining the environment.
